Barbora Kotěšovcová – portrét

Barbora Kotěšovcová

A graduate of UMPRUM Prague. In Fashion Glass she connected, with František Jungvirt, glass with textile in organic creations presented by a fashion show.

Barbora Kotěšovcová (*1997) is a fashion designer and a graduate of the Studio of Fashion and Footwear Design at Prague's UMPRUM. In her work she has long focused on form, construction and draping, which she understands as the main means of expression of clothing. Her designs develop a distinctive silhouette on the border between functionality, ornament and performative gesture.

Alongside her own work she also devotes herself to teaching and pattern-construction practice. In her signature there appear references to mythology, characters and visual stories that push clothing towards the object and stage installation. Together with František Jungvirt she presented the exhibition Fashion Glass at Galerie Kuzebauch, connecting glass, textile and light into a single artistic whole. In 2026 she became the overall winner of the Mattoni Young Fashion Stars competition held at Mercedes-Benz Prague Fashion Week.
