Jaroslav Bejvl Jr. (*1967) is a Czech designer of light objects and installations whose work draws on a deep knowledge of Czech glassmaking craft and a family tradition reaching back to the 1960s. He devotes himself mainly to working with light, crystal and metal, which he connects with technological invention and contemporary artistic expression. He gained experience, among other places, in the studio of Dale Chihuly in Seattle, and for a number of years worked at Preciosa Lighting, where he held the position of chief designer and later art director.
In 2016 he founded his own Bejvl Design Studio, focused on original light installations, lighting design and bespoke projects for architecture. His works are represented in interiors all over the world, including luxury hotels and public spaces. His work is characterised by a combination of traditional material, precise craftsmanship and new technologies, often with an emphasis on spatial effect, the movement of light and the changeability of perception. He has received a number of awards for his work and has been ranked among the prominent figures of design in the Middle East region.
