Mark Ther

Mark Ther is a draftsman, video artist, and creator of scenographic installations. He is a graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague, where he studied under the guidance of Vladimír Skrepl and Michael Bielický, and he also completed an internship at The Cooper Union in New York. He has exhibited in prestigious galleries in the Czech Republic, such as the Prague City Gallery, Špála Gallery, Aleš South Bohemian Gallery, Regional Gallery in Liberec, Telegraph Gallery, and the Gallery of Modern Art in Hradec Králové, as well as in institutions abroad, including those in Poland, Croatia, the USA, Germany, Austria, Lithuania, Sweden, the UK, Italy, Slovakia, Hungary, Belgium, Japan, and Slovenia. In 2011, he received the Jindřich Chalupecký Award—the last to be signed by Václav Havel and presented under his patronage—and in the same year, he also won the Skúter III – Biennial of Young Genius in Trnava. His works are part of the collections of renowned institutions such as the National Gallery Prague, the Prague City Gallery, the Gallery of Modern Art in Hradec Králové, and the Klatovy / Klenová Gallery, as well as private collections, including the Robert Runták Collection, the Kunsthalle Praha Collection, and many others.
