Milan Krajíček

Milan Krajíček

A glass artist from the Vysočina region working with graphite moulds and lampwork. Geometric work on the border of mathematical precision and personal imagination.

A review of the exhibition on Material Times

With each work, Milan Krajíček (*1977) goes further and further in his search for the possibilities of glass and his imagination. In his conception, glass is a fluid, a truly alchemical essence from which he creates works on the borderline between solid and liquid. He is not afraid of deconstructing form, playing with matter and its surroundings, blending inner and outer space. His objects bring a specific tone to contemporary glass art that is not often heard in it – a fusion of innovative technology with a distinctive artistic vision. Krajíček graduated from the Secondary School of Glass Arts in Železný Brod, and then studied in the glass studio of Vladimír Kopecký at the Academy of Arts and Crafts in Prague.
